Upcoming Changes
The LDS Writer's Market Guide is an evolving project, and as more information arrives, the way information is presented to the public changes, too. The following list includes the changes we plan to make in the next 4–6 months. If you have any comments, suggestions, or new ideas, we'd love to hear about them! Contact us and let us know what's on your mind.- Reviewers and the Media: Most of the information found in the Reviewer's section is duplicated in the Magazines, Newspapers & Journals section with the addition of a minor amount of information (sometimes not even with that). Ideally, the Reviewer's section should be a list of people who write reviews and the Magazines, Newspapers & Journals section a list of places that publish reviews in addition to regular content. Yes, these two lists often cross, but they shouldn't be duplicates. If a particular magazine publishes reviews but doesn't want to supply the name of their reviewer, they'll be listed in the later section, but not the former.
- Speaking of Reviewers: We're also planning to add documentation to help people who want to review LDS books, music, and videos. The world needs more reviewers! But many reviewers (especially individuals) aren't familiar with what they should do to promote both the products they're reviewing and their own services. The documentation will help people who want to start a mini-business reviewing products.
