Fiction, creative non-fiction, socio-political articles, and small town news all encompass my scope. Oh...and margin notes in my students' essays, but that's neither here nor there. I've been a writer for as long as I can remember, and I think knew I was destined to be an author after Mrs. Countryman's first grade class assignment of a squirrel looking for an acorn. But rather than tell you what I like to write, I'll tell you what I love to read, and that will tell you much more about my voice than prattling off a list of my current projects. Here goes: Historical Fiction, Latin American Fiction, Russian Fiction, (clean) Romances, Politics, Chick-Lit, a good Mystery, and Social Awareness/Interaction (be it fiction like "In Her Shoes" or non-fiction like "Reading Lolita in Tehran"). I am also an avid New York Times, New Yorker, and Wall Street Journal reader. Lately my husband has got me onto Money Magazine, but I think that's his way of training me into a tighter budget. Must investigate that...
What else, what else? Well I'll say this: I'm a born and raised East Coast girl, with an Argentine mother, Italian father, and Brazilian husband. I'm a believer in being passionate about Life, and truly loving every minute of it. Like the Olive Garden, when you come here, you're family. And I'll prove it with a big hug, yummy meal, lots of laughter and conversation, and a family prayer at the end. (We are LDS, after all).
